Timeline of original idea edit
Wilson noted that the term "Half-Earth" was coined for this concept by Tony Hiss in his Smithsonian article "Can the World Really Set Aside Half the Planet for Wildlife?"
I just started this book, but I hope to clear up the timeline. This idea greatly predates the 2016 publication, and Hiss’s 2014 article. I first heard it sometime in the late 1980s, early 1990s. Viriditas (talk) 09:41, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
