Feedback edit

@Lsy2624: I've taken a look at your article. For some reason, you were un-enrolled from the class at our WikiEdu dashboard so I didn't see your article. Very strange.

In any case, I have some feedback on your article:

  • You should check out WP:LEDE which has some advice for how to write the first paragraph. For example it's normal to say something like: "Haebangchon is a neighborhood is central Seoul." Look at similar articles and perhaps try to copy the basic structure and formatting of what they do?
  • The draft of your article just yet quite read like a Wikipedia article but a bit more like a narrative essay. You should watch WP:TONE and can read that page for more details.
  • Your references aren't formatted or integrated according to Wikipedia standards. I started the process but there's a bit more work to do and you should finish it. Why don't you look at Help:Referencing for beginners for detail? For example, you might also want to include web links for the web references.
  • A few more references and some text to establish the importance or notability of the location would probably help. I think you're off a good start here.

Ping me once you've done this and I'll try to get back to you quickly! I'm looking forward to seeing the article develop. —mako 01:36, 26 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Lsy2624: I think I'm confused. I Can see that Haebangchon already has a stub. Is the idea just to add this to the existing article? If so, I think you can ignore my feedback about the WP:LEDE and just address the other issues and paste the improved text into the article right away! —mako

@Benjamin Mako Hill: I have fixed much and I want to do infobox and put a picture on it. If you can help me with that, that would be great! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lsy2624 (talkcontribs)

@Lsy2624: You can check out Help:Infobox for details on how you might add infoboxes. You might also want to just look at similar articles and view the source and then copy, paste, and modify their infoboxes so that they work here. In terms of picture, why don't you look on Wikimedia Commons to see if you can find any freely licensed pictures you might include! —mako 18:11, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

More Feedback edit

@Lsy2624: I'm glad to see that you moved your stuff in. One quick thing you'll want to address. All of your references are at the end. You want to copy the <ref></ref> tags into the text of the article as Wikipedia:Inline citations. I'd do that right away! —mako 02:39, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Benjamin Mako Hill: Can Korean Wiki be a reference?Lsy2624 (talk) 03:27, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Lsy2624: Korean Wikipedia won't be a reference since Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source but you can copy any of the references that are used in the Korean article. If it's not already linked, you can also add a link to the Korean article through the Languages linking functionality on the left-hand column. —mako 04:50, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Peer Review edit

@Lsy2624: You did a great job on the article. I have some suggestions that might improve the article.

- Maybe you can include the byname of haebangchon, gaegunnuh?(개건너). http://guro.grandculture.net/Contents?local=guro&dataType=01&contents_id=GC03000115 . This website explains the origin of the name. - There are some attractions such as arthill and 108 stairway (108하늘계단). Description of the attractions and perhaps a picture of it would help people to understand what the area is like. http://www.seoulstory.kr/search/view/5777

Hope this helps:) Good luck finalizing the article!'=

@Lsy2624: Nice Article! I added a info box with a photo hopefully you can fill in the rest. andyavocado (talk) 12:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
