In an interview which I read, Brooks mentions the fact that when she was a child many people in their neighbourhood probably did not recognize her father as African American because of his light skin. Why would anyone want to remove this fact? Please don't tell me this violates the NPOV rules. Then you'd have to remove the whle article on Nella Larsen. --KF 23:39 Dec 15, 2002 (UTC)
