do you think that a mannequin in a shop window and a tramp in a card board box ans a posh lady shopping could be classed as habitats i am doing a photography course and thought this might be a good slant on the word habitat what do you think —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.220.190 (talkcontribs) 17:39, March 17, 2006

FW -> Ecology? edit

Should this page not forward to the ecological use of the term? Check "what links here" of the items linked here - "habitat" seems to be used most often by a huge margin ecological in biological contexts. Dysmorodrepanis 06:47, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree with moving Habitat to Habitat (disambiguation) then Habitat (ecology) to Habitat. --Geniac 13:37, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oil Rig Use edit

Habitat also relates to overpressure tents manufactured by StS Norway and Safehouse in Scotland. These are used to protect operators carrying out hot work such a grinding and welding in areas where highly explosive gasses might be present. This really needs an article in its own right but I'm aware that it can't look like an advert for either company! Anyone care to write it? Smidoid (talk) 11:06, 16 October 2008 (UTC) SmidoidReply
