Fair use rationale for Image:HMS Temeraire (Bellerophon-class battleship).jpg edit

Image:HMS Temeraire (Bellerophon-class battleship).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

1907 or 1908? edit

Currently, the infobox says the ship was launched in 1907 and the body of the article says 1908. I suspect 1907 is the correct year, but can someone check?Nigel Ish (talk) 20:01, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

You'd be correct, sir. Good catch.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:18, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Could you just check that all relevant points from Talk:HMS Bellerophon (1907)/GA1 have been addressed here? Once that's done, I'll do the review. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 09:35, 22 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Pretty sure that I've gotten all of them. Doesn't mean, of course, that I haven't introduced others, but...--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:36, 22 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you got them all.

  • link Hebrides
  • move link to destroyer to first mention
  • I think you should specify the year when giving dates at the beginning of each subsection
    • I know that that's sort of a thing on Wiki, but it seems to me to presume that the reader can't track the year if it's provided in the para immediately in front of the new section is kind of insulting.
  • I don't think "entering" Constantinople is right. Perhaps arrived off Constantinople?
    • Maybe, but arriving off is passive; entered is more active, which seems a better reflection of the Allies taking control, even if they didn't land a whole lot of troops.

That's me done. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 09:30, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

This article is well-written, verifiable using reliable sources, covers the subject well, is neutral and stable, and is illustrated by appropriately license images with appropriate captions. Passing. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 23:39, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Image available edit

There's a nice illustration of the ship available in this journal that can be uploaded to en.wiki. Parsecboy (talk) 19:34, 21 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
