Paragraph about "iceberg" collision removed edit

There is currently only a very short sentence about the Sceptre colliding with an iceberg, but this used to be a paragraph about an actual collision with another submarine, which crew were instructed to pretend had been an iceberg. The original paragraph is present in version here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=HMS_Sceptre_(S104)&oldid=164147155

Sceptre suffered several accidents. In the early 1980s she collided with a Russian submarine and her reactor's protection systems would have performed an automatic emergency shutdown (scrammed the reactor), but her captain ordered the safety mechanisms overridden (battleshort enabled). The crew were told to say that they had hit an iceberg. This incident was disclosed when David Forghan, former Weapons Officer on the submarine, gave a television interview that was broadcast on September 19, 1991.

There is no explanation in the edit following that version as to why this paragraph was removed. There is an online resource which mentions it: http://www.banthebomb.org/archives/news/000306.html and my father, who served on the Sceptre, has confirmed that it was indeed a Russian sub and not an iceberg that was hit.

The edit that removed the paragraph quoted above was made by IP address 82.21.1.152 at 20:58, 25 March 2008. This was the only edit made, and that IP address has made very few other edits. Any objections to my putting the paragraph back? MarkHudson (talk) 08:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
