The Crown Colony class were not strictly speaking 'light' cruisers, and neither were they 'heavy' cruisers. That distinction applies only to 'Treaty' cruisers at the time the respective treaty was in force. As the various Naval treaties had lapsed by the time Jamaica was commissioned she should be referred to as either 'cruiser' or for the sake of clarity '6 inch-gunned cruiser'.~~Loatesy~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.167.101.131 (talk) 14:53, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
