I believe that HMS Jaguar was engaged in a gun battle some months before she was sunk. My cousin Seaman Brynmor Jones was killed in that action.

@sturmvogel 66 why do you keep undoing my edits about those from the Irish Republic killed aboard her? I am citing my sources correctly and it is an important piece of historical information given Ireland's neutrality in the conflict. There were thousands, if not tens of thousands of people from the Republic that served in the British military. As such a few killed aboard a destroyer doesn't merit any mention in the article.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:57, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
