Ex Post Facto Law

This article suggest that Nevada has retroactive gun laws, which I'm pretty sure is illegal (because it is more restrictive, not less). This is my first edit to Wikipedia, so I have no idea what I'm doing, but this bugged me enough to want to see it fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.48.94 (talk) 05:37, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

My reading of that paragraph is that the state preemption law is retroactive, meaning local laws restricting firearms are invalid, even if they were passed before the state preemption law -- so the more restrictive local laws are no longer in effect. Still, one could argue that a reliable reference for this would improve the article, so I've fixed the tag you added, which should be "citation needed", not "refimprove". P.S. Welcome to Wikipedia.
