Salton Trough a Geographic, not Tectonic feature edit

The actual tectonic rift zone is a chain of transform faults and rifts. The tectonic rift between the end of the San Andreas and the Imperial faults is the Brawley seismic zone. The Salton Trough is a geographic feature like a valley that reflects the effects of the rift and fault system. To make the case that the Salton Trough is a distinct tectonic rift, you would then have to interpolate a transform fault connecting it with the Brawley zone. I don't believe there is one, but if I'm mistaken, please tell us here. Tmangray (talk) 22:24, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
