I agree with the plan to merge the two articles. In fact I can't see the rationale for an article entitled microbiological medium, it seems a duplication to me. --Alun 05:43, 1 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

i also agree; merge the articles. microbiological medium definition simply discusses fundamental aspects of microbiology. JLJ, Bioport Co.

At this stage I have to dissagree, because for example selective media should have its article. Anyway later on I will write which type of media could be marge. This system of merging is for me a little bit chaotical.--Juan de Vojníkov 09:59, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article uses "medium", "mediums", "media" in singular (i.e., followed by "is"), and "media" in plural (i.e., followed by "are"). [Just like the people around me in the lab]. However, it is my understanding (see various dictionaries, incl. Encyclopedia Britannica) that "medium" is the singular form of this word, and "media" is the plural of it. Therefore, this page should be cleaned up accordingly. Either: "the medium is..." or: "the media are...". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcolop (talkcontribs) 02:46, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done. Since the article used "media", the correct plural, in some instances but not others (mostly section headings), I corrected all instances of "mediums" to "media". ResidueOfDesign (talk) 15:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

You think LB is Lysogeny Broth? It's Luria Bertani. Richard8081 (talk) 15:16, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I was looking to get some links for algae growth media, and it took me a while to get to "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algal_nutrient_solutions". I think there should be some mention of that aspect of growth media from this page. As you might be able to tell I am not too sure about editing wikipedia because I am not even sure how to make that link a wikipedia format link. Seraphya (talk) 10:34, 14 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
