I believe Conklin died of lung cancer but cannot now find the reference. I recall an old anthology with a list of obits for that year in the back; his included a note saying "He smoked too many cigarettes and they killed him at last." —coldchrist 17:15, 16 April 2006 (CST)

Wrong Photo edit
According to GoodReads, second paragraph at https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/57170.Groff_Conklin, the photo here supposedly of Groff Conklin is actually that of Timothy Doyle.
