This article is more hagiography than biography. The encomiums from people who worked with or admired him are entirely unencyclopedic and should either be worked into the biography itself as appropriate or eliminated altogether. Wikipedia is not for memorials to the departed. --Dhartung | Talk 20:48, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

It would be helpful to be able to see what text is thought to violate a copyright. If I knew what text was in question, I could address it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TomGresham (talkcontribs) 18:30, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

It appears that someone has flagged this record regarding possible copyright infringement in the text. I would like to address that, but I don’t know what text is being questioned. Could that be posted so that I can clear up this question? TomGresham (talk) 18:33, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

TomGresham, Hello Mr. Gresham. Grits article was created by a user, Billy Hathorn, who badly misunderstood copyright laws and would often plagiarized material from websites and newspaper articles. Normally, it would be possible to find and remove the plagiarized content if it was taken from online sources, but the newspapers and books Billy has plagiarized from are mostly offline and hard to find, often coming from local towns. Thus, many articles he created have been presumptively deleted as possible copyright violations. Upon further inspection of this one, no offline sources are cited, meaning that, unlike Billy's other articles, this one is far less likely to have any offline violations, so it's actually worth the time finding the online ones. I've removed the current copyright violations in the article and have un blanked it. I apologize for any stress I may have caused towards Greshams family. 💵Money💵emoji💵💸 01:43, 11 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
