Again, I doubt that Count Basie was in a dance club in Greenwood 6 years after the entire area was burned to the ground. Greenwood Historical District
The story of Greenwood is a legacy that should never be forgotten. It is a history of which African American people should forever be proud.
- "In 2011, the Greenwood Cultural Center lost 100% of its funding from the State of Oklahoma"

The death toll
Walter F. White, whose contemporaneous article is cited, said "...a mob of 100-per-cent Americans set forth on a wild rampage that cost the lives of fifty white men; of between 150 and 200 colored men, women and children ..." While later writers say the toll may have been as high as 3,000 this has not been verified. The report of the Oklahoma Commission, also cited, said they were not authorized to do the archaeological work to find the mass graves.Fconaway 13:11, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Greenwood is not just the Race Riot
I would caution against over-stuffing this article with information about the 1921 Race Riot, particularly because there is already an article on that subject. It's certainly an important part of the area's history but Greenwood has been around for over a century; what else has happened there? What about current information about the area today? Unless more diverse information about Greenwood gets added to this article, I would be inclined to just have this page redirect to the Tulsa Race Riot article. Closenplay 13:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

The Dates!
I have somewhat studied the story of Greenwood Oklahoma and I place the destruction in the mid 30's. If you claim 1921 then your going to miss out on alot of history. Religion
I would not phrase this as follows. "The strong religious faith of the African Americans provided support for each person and allowed them to join together in the faith that they could get their lives back." Even if the importance of religious feelings is recognized -though faith doesn't construct buildings-, it should not sound as religious propaganda. The Big Picture
The whole point of this article is to realize that the destruction of this city was due to many white outraged individuals. Look at this event through the context of its historical perspective, although this may not sit well with you, as it should not, does not deem that the article should be changed because you can't handle the idea that there were some white individuals who were extremely cruel during this time. Little Africa
The argument says that when Greenwood was called Little Africa it was derogatory. What?
So it it derogatory to call somewhere Little Italy, Chinatown, Japantown, Little Korea, Little Vietnam, or other names?
It just screams, "Im black, my descendants are from Africa and I hate myself".
Article rating

add coordinates or possibly a infobox
It would be useful to have the map coordinates display at te top of page, also possibly a infobox. Here is the one for Tulsa as a whole anyone want to edit and include it in article?

Black Wall Street -- Failed verification
The citation given only says that Black Wall Street was "the business district at Greenwood Street and Archer Avenue." In particular, it does not say that "almost all of Tulsa's black lawyers, realtors, doctors, and other professionals" had offices there.
Also, is "realtors" correct? The term was only invented in 1916 by what is now called the National Association of Realtors.
"Tulsa Race Riot" section
This unsupported edit caught my eye and I see that this section appears to contain other unsupported material, some of it looking pretty inflammatory (e.g., the unsupported direct quote reading, “ Go get a gun and go get a nigger.”). Most of this material, if it can be supported, looks like it belongs in the Tulsa race riot detail article, not here. I haven't looked at this closely, but a quick look gives me the impression that this article, following WP:SS, might contain just some material drawn mostly from the initial and final paragraphs of that detail article. To add to article
To add to this article: a useful map that shows exactly where this district is located within Tulsa. How is it conceivable that in the year 2021 no such map exists in the current version of this article?
