Talk:Great Wall Haval H3

Hover > Haval??? edit

After a quick look on the GWM global website, I believe that the Hover's name has been changed to Haval. Is this true? Any thoughts? --Pineapple Fez 09:09, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

I visited ChinaCarForums.com (Great Wall Motor forum section)

  • "Haval H3" or "Hover H3" is the new name of Greal Wall Hover's facelifted version ("minor change", not new "model change").
  • The Haval H5 is based on Greal Wall Hover but different front & end.
  • Texts from "Voleex and Haval" thread : "The Haval brand is derived from its former Hover, will cover the company's all SUV and crossover models, while its expensive car models are shown as part of the Voleex brand."
    • I think Haval and Voleex are names of model series or model groups, not alternate car brand names.

http://www.gwm.com.cn/en/models.asp There are all Haval, no Hover anymore. (This is for information, if someone read this talk page.) --Love Krittaya (talk) 05:16, 27 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Haval H5 and Haval H3 are SAME CAR! H5 it is only a facelift (different front grille)! No other difference — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.160.61.182 (talk) 10:40, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Reject. Not the same vehicle. Different interior, different engine options, and best I can tell, a different transmission. It's common for successors to be based on the same platform, see the 350Z and 370Z. No coffee, please. (talk) 01:12, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Reject. Yes share the same technical base, but isn't the same car because as construction and selling with some many made peculiarities mechanical difference and have another brand and name. 91.80.21.188 (talk) 05:19, 1 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
