Copyvio warning edit

CorenSearchBot sees a copyright violation from this source. There are chunks of jargon like "right stepping quaternary rift basins", "large discontinuous normal faults", "faulted magmatic segments" and so on. I can't see any way to avoid that and remain accurate - these are just technical term. Aymatth2 (talk) 02:49, 20 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've reworded and added a bit. Don't really see a copyvio problem. It would be good to check the sources the Leeds website references [1] for: Beyene & Abdelsalam, 2005; Buck, 2006, Hendrie et al, 1994; Tesfaye et al, 2003; Wolfenden et al, 2004, Abebe et al, 05; Pizzi et al, 2006, Hayward and Ebinger, 1996; Manighetti et al, 1998 Ebinger & Casey, 2001, Casey et al, 2006; Keir et al, 2006; if you have access. I was thinking of expanding this one to mainly focus on geography and people. Geology maybe belongs more in the articles on the Afar Junction or the East African Rift. But my attempt to begin with a short summary of geology drew a slap in the face from a bot. I hate it when that happens. Aymatth2 (talk) 02:56, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yeah... just chopped that tag. Perhaps it should focus on geog... but the rift is a transition between the Afar triangle and the east African rift system, so from my view (totally unbiased of course ;) the geology is significant, with all the volcanism in the rift.
