The page needs some more bits: I'll try to add the references section and some math on converting between Doppler calculations and gh/c^2 as energy change, soon. I'll keep the heavy linking to the existing page on gravitational redshift - the two pages should end up complementing each other.

Actually, I see nothing here worth saving at present, but merging seems the most convenient way of getting rid of this. ErkDemon, did you check for a prior article on gravitational redshift before starting this stub? Or were you starting on an extensive revision? (That's a guess from your to be continued?...) If so, especially given that some editors including myself feel that, while you often have something worth saying, your articles tend to be WP:NPOV (due to overemphasis of a certain point of view), a better procedure would be to creat the article in your personal sandbox (in your user pages), then add a note in the talk page proposing to replace the current version with your own. (Or better, in most cases, to let a neutral party merge the two.)---CH 05:48, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
