This article is racked with POV. I don't mean any disrespect to the person(s) that wrote it, but it is clearly handling the subject from an anti-Duplessis point of view, when in theory it should only be giving the facts.

Interpreting POV Application

edit

I notice the above comment is unsigned. I am leaving the POV tag in for now, but one must keep in mind that articles can suffer from POV with cause. For example, the article on Adolf Hitler could be similarly tagged in places. (And I'm not suggesting any particular association between Duplessis and Hitler in making that statement; analogy isn't intended beyond the statement itself.) I'd suggest that, when revisions are forthcoming, that the reader be somewhat forgiving interpreting and applying the strictures of POV guidelines with this subject. ross613 (talk) 14:51, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

POV

edit

in this topic it is inescapable to not have a POV as it was a discription of the time from a point of view, but the POV should be stated at the top none the less. Just to add to your comment Ross613. Jonathon (talk) 05:59, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

-- No refference to the Duplessis Orphans--

it is shocking there is no refference to the duplessis orphans in this article, particularily since there is a strong article already on the wiki discussing the specifics of the Duplessis Orphans. please find included a link to the main wiki article for the duplessis orphans.

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:05, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
