"Euthanasia centre" > "killing facility" discussion
editA discussion has arisen at Talk:Hartheim Euthanasia Centre#Nazi "euthanasia" centers seeking a consensus to rename each "euthanasia centre" to "killing facility", "killing centre", or something closer to the more common "Tötungsanstalt" in German. Stiftung Brandenburgische Gedenkstätten uses "killing facility" on their English page here; other memorial sites prefer "killing centre". "Euthanasia" was a WP:EUPHEMISM specifically employed by the Nazis to justify and trivialize their mass-murder; it should not be adopted uncritically.
The goal of this post is to invite discussion on the Hartheim page; I hope to reach a consensus that would apply across all of the T4 site pages and for Category:Aktion T4 euthanasia centres.-Ich (talk) 15:53, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
