I notice it says WAS in the opening sentence ? So the Gracie Challenge is a thing of the past ?

The Gracie challenge experienced a resurge in popularity in the 1980's when Rorion Gracie came to the United States and offered $100,000 dollars to anyone who could defeat him or one of his brothers.

Royce Gracie recently denied there was a $100,000 standing challenge for the Gracie challenge, although I can't remember where I read/heard it. I'm sure I was an oral interview. Anyway, Clyde Gentry in No Holds Barred did say that $100,000 was offered once, I believe to Benny "The Jet" Urquidez, but I'm not sure. In any case, if someone doesn't substantiate the above in a few days review my copy of NHB and come up with a more accurate sentence.hateless 17:07, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

A weird article

This only seems to consist of a list of fights the Gracies lost... While I might agree that they themselves advertise their wins too much and forget the stuff mentioned here, the fact is they beat tons of people who are not mentioned here at all. 62.78.251.108 (talk) 20:43, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
