General-Governor or Governor-General? edit
In 1864 the head of the Moscow Military District was called General-Governor, appointed by the emperor himself. According to the German Wikipedia this was merely an honorary title. Perhaps the title Governor-General should be applied in the years before? In English the title is mixed up, very confusing. What I understand is that Fyodor Rostopchin had no military power, and Felix Yusupov Sr. had no administrative power.Taksen (talk) 03:44, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
