Google Analytics and Privacy 2
(First off: I don't know how to append this to the other comment to the privacy, but someone should do it...)
This article definetly needs the "This article is written like an advertisment"-tag, since it simply IS an advertsiment, without any criticism whatsover. But, Google-Analytics is a highly dubious feature, which is implemented on many blog websites without consent of the blogger and without any benefit for the blogger. Furthermore, it is an absolute privacy nightmare, because a lot of personal information is collected (Just do a google search for "google analytics privacy" - starting at about search result 15, you will find negative reviews exclusively) I think this needs to be included in the article somehow... if noone is going to do that, I will, but I would prefer someone else to do that since my English is not the best (although probably sufficient for a small section), and I don't know how to add the advertisement-tag either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.84.29.56 (talk) 15:36, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have no knowledge of Blog websites that add Google Analytics without Blogger consent. But I think this should be a criticism to the Blog website not Google Analytics. They could be adding another Analytics plataform.
- Sending personal information strictly prohibited per Google Terms of Service. But again this is a criticism for someone that is doing that. Eduardocereto (talk) 17:04, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Unclear introduction
The language in the introduction is complicated. It does not answer "what is google analytics?". Yes, it states it is a "web analytics service", which does not make anyone unfamiliar with G A the wiser.
