Japanese?

WHO and WHY!? The Lyrics were translated here to "Lets Fighting Love" why are they now gone!? They helped to add a new dimension to the humour of the episode and are of genuine curiosity to fans of the show, who will be, let's face it, the only ones looking at this article.

Oh no! I'll try to get them back, I had it written down but I don't know if I can find it. Also I may be able to track down a web source. Ok, a certain user Tregoweth claims that the lyrics are copyrighted in his history. I don't think this is quite right, and it's not too good the be making such a major remove without giving a more detailed excuse on talk. By the way, I suggest that we use the most literal, direct translation for the lyrics in order to avoid subjectivity/POV. For example, sarubobo seems to mean just that, sarubobo, unless one can find a citation or reference that it definitely means something else. Shawnc 04:43, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

I have deleted the blurb that "(he [Trey Parker] speaks the language fluently; this is attributed to him living in Japan for a period)" until it can be substantiated. The pronunciation issue ("kintama no kame", "kinka" for "kenka") as well as grammatically issues ("kami" instead of "ke" for pubic hair) et cetera call his Japanese language proficiency into question. I fixed up some of the translation a little bit. For example, mechakucha doesn't mean fucked up, but just "ridiculous", and wake ga wakaranai literally means "meaning not understandable". 199.126.137.209 06:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Can somebody make a traslation of "let's fighting love" that explain's the meaning and significance of each line? Like instead of translating it a bit literally,maybe just write down the point of what they were trying to say,or something. It was a D'k tahg and I just readded it in this time with the name and don't edit, it out it is a pop cultural reference to Star Trek as Trey and Mattt have done before.

Goofs?

Here's the deal... can the goofs not also be seen as a commentary on Anime? Anime is known for it's often low production cost leading to constant mistakes, like the color changing nunchucks.

Anyway... just a thought...

Redundant Trivia

True, but Kenny has been dying a lot still. He's died at least twice in season 7, twice in season 9, couple of times in season 11 and at least 4 times in season 13. Take that and you've got at least...10 deaths. Take that and add it from the whole first five seasons and that's...let's see 10,12,18,17,16,12 add it and you get...85 deaths total. Goofs

Ninja Alter-Egos

Most of the characters only resemble their video game "equivalents" just a wee bit or not at all. For instance, the only thing that links Kenny and Raiden is the hat: Kenny won't use lightning, Raiden doesn't wear red, nor he has a facemask, and he definitely doesn't use shurikens. IMO this section is rather vain, irrelevant, and far-fetched.

accuracy of lyrics/translations

So i copy and pasted the lyrics into online translators (3 different ones) such as babelfish, google translate, and one other. i didnt really get near the same results as the last box which it claims to say in english. for example the first line (i cant translate the english letters in the translators, but) in the last box claims to say " i have a wonderful penis " or whatever, but in the translator it says "splendid chin chin ones". chin chin not being a word in the online dictionaries. this result was the same for all sites, so is there a reason for this?

• This episode marks the start of a recurring quip in several episodes in which Cartman cites Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ when making anti-Semitic remarks against Kyle. Cartman calls Gibson "The Road Warrior", a reference to Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.
• This episode aired a month and a half after Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at Super Bowl XXXVIII. At the end of the episode, the townspeople are enraged that their children saw Cartman naked, rather than on account of the boys lodging a shuriken in Butter's eye; Parker and Stone's intention was to satirize the American public's concern towards nudity and sexuality in entertainment rather than gratuitous violence and gore.

• As for the "rival ninja clan" the boys encounter, Craig is based on Guy, Clyde resembles Adon, Token resembles Dee Jay and even performs his Air Slasher/"Max Out" projectile, and Jimmy is based on Sodom without the mask.
• Also, Chef's appearance is based on Akuma The Store owner looks like Zangief and the Auctioneer is dressed like Gen.
• Amongst the weapons being sold at the weapons stand are a Klingon D'k tagh and Bat'leth.
• A Chaos Dreadclaw from Warhammer 40,000 is in the scene behind the boys as they purchase the weapons from the 'knife guy'.
