In my opinion, the book crossed a line at "Otho, the Miller's Son." I think the second-to-last passage on page 29 went roughly like this: "Half the world is theiving\ The other half is crawling\ The mouth of Hell is gaping wide\ and all of us are falling\ The Judgement Day is close at hand\ the hell fires are burning\ There's no way to retrace our steps\ because the mill wheel's turning" I have no comment except to note the extreme darkness of the book.
