Unclear sentence edit

"It is possible that Harriet Miers helped create the government's argument in the case." What does this mean? I did not change it, but I do not understand it. I changed the next sentence since she has withdrawn. --Rob 13:59, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • Government lawyers were arguing against the Oregon statute, and Miers may have advised them on the arguments they should make, cases they should cite, etc.  BD2412 talk 14:09, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

case summaries edit

the summary of the opinion and the dissent is bad should be re written to include reference to Auer and a more detailed outline of the reasoning not just one or two of the less than crucial points —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.175.108.53 (talk) 09:49, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
