Origins of new article

An article created by User:Ouessant at Article Name GONG was nominated for Speedy Deletion because it "did not assert the importance or significance of its subject" (WP:CSD#A7}.

A new article was started in user space at User:Ouessant (diff). User:AmosWolfe copied the content to User:AmosWolfe/Sandbox (diff) and edited the content to format as per Manual of Style, remove POV statements, and add references.
