Though I have only heard of her and her group today, her death is a very tragic one, particularly since she was only 22. Anyway, I'm not sure if the coverage of her death is enough to establish notability independent of Ladies' Code. How much coverage independent of the group did she receive prior to her death? Because if there isn't much, the content here could be merged back into her group's article. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:07, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's indeed tragic, though i've heard of their group before but i didn't really pay attention to them until today. I went to search for the songs they've released so far and i must say they've got a bright future in front of them. But sadly this tragedy happened. I'll try to find more coverage on her but it is a bit hard because there is hardly any news of her before the accident in English, i would like to try the Korean side but i'm no good at reading Korean. I usually get the gist of what the article is about by using Google Translate, but it is not very accurate some times. I hope some who understands Korean can help improve more on this article. Thanks!! --Deoma12(Talk) 14:42, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Deoma12: Try searching on the sites listed here (Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Reliable sources#Considered Reliable). Jaewon [Talk] 15:05, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Narutolovehinata5: After searching on Ladies' Code, I found that her only appearance was on SBS 1000 Song Challenge and I didn't find anything else. So I believe this article should be merged with Ladies' Code. Jaewon [Talk] 15:05, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Any reason why this article got unmmerged? As noted above there's not enough notability present outside of the group, and the info within this article can easily be incorporated into the main group article. ハローリンク-Hello Link- 04:04, 4 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Hello Link: Looking at the history, a random ip editor undid it and people kept editing it like nothing happened. Jaewon [Talk] 03:56, 5 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Jay2kx: @Hello Link: @Deoma12: So I guess a merge discussion is in order? If so, any one of you should start it, as I don't have much knowledge on Korea-related information (I specialize more in Anime and manga-related articles). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:03, 5 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Jay2kx, Hello Link, Deoma12, and Narutolovehinata5:: See below - I proposed merge. Revicomplaint? 06:37, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Also, if anon users keep removing merge template, I'll go to RPP. Revicomplaint? 06:42, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm starting merge discussion per Talk:Go Eun-bi#Comments. Revicomplaint? 06:36, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oppose - Sufficient sourcing and notability to justify separate article.--BabbaQ (talk) 12:28, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Support - Her only activities was with Ladies' Code. Jaewon [Talk] 13:39, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Comment - I'm not going to vote as of yet, but if anyone can prove that she is notable beyond her death, I can then oppose. Otherwise, since her article is mostly an obituary, if this keeps up, I'll support the merge. Tibbydibby (talk) 15:43, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Support - Everything I'm seeing in the current article can easily be merged into Ladies' Code. Unless someone manages to find a decent amount of info on activities she has done outside of the group (dramas/acting, stuff done before she joined the group, etc.), then there's no reason to keep this article. ハローリンク-Hello Link- 12:24, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Support – Other users before me have already pointed out what I also think. --Chiya92 12:53, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - Though it is true that most of Eunbi's activities were with Ladies' Code, I believe that she deserves to have her own page in tribute of the terrible accident that has ended in her and Rise's death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ayowuddupkris (talkcontribs) 15:32 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Oppose – Let the girl have a wiki page to herself , terrible tragedy and be nice for family and friends to be able to show the page off as to who their daughter/family member/friend was and what happened to her. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.230.101.254 (talk) 08:39 8 September 2014 (UTC)
You meant to oppose? And, see WP:NOTMEMORIAL. Revicomplaint? 14:21, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
I fixed it. Jaewon [Talk] 15:36, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose – I think she deserves her own page. --Bager (talk) 17:37, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - She is a famous face and well known just because she is known for one thing doesn't mean she doesn't deserve her own page, its not like there is a shortage of pages . Think its really quite mean your talking about deleting her wiki page :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.230.101.254 (talk) 20:25, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - Wikipedia is among the first results on Google for Eunbi; even if the page is just for her death, it's a significant death and people searching for her and only seeing a link to the Ladies Code page are gonna be confused. Also yeah, she just died everybody, this is pretty disrespectful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.187.48.250 (talk) 23:51, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Support — Agree with the previous comments as article needs more info for notability and because of WP:NOTMEMORIAL. Rockysmile11 (talk) 01:18, 9 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - It is way too early to have even brought up this point! Having written obituaries I do not see it as such. I also see enough information that the bio can with time be fixed. This discussion about moving is premature, especially in light of the fact that important information will not be released while people are still recovering from injuries and others their own grief. Obiwan92507 (talk) 03:21, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - there is enough information about her and her death for her to have her own article. its about how much information we have about her. if we merge it with the group then she will have a long section on that page. I also want to point out that she has other wiki article written in at least 8 different languages that shows how notable she is. Dman41689 (talk) 05:05, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - Agree with the poster above me Ladies Code page will simply consist of half the page being about EunB , there are many drummers, guitarists etc who are only known for playing that instrument with said band but they have their own wiki pages. Seems like alot of the mods here are all just agreeing and circle jerking each other , which doesn't bode well for Wikipedia as their should be arguments put forward from both sides. Seems the argument to keep the page is mostly being put forward by people who cared about her and people who use Wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.230.101.254 (talk) 12:39, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Comment - I am making major changes to this article, it will probably take several weeks until I am fully done. I also am sure that small items will continue to trickle in for at least a year.

Lastly, there is a consensus that this article should be kept, so it is time for the originator to remove the proposal. With my major article overhall the merge will also be a moot point if the consensus is not enough.Obiwan92507 (talk) 05:08, 11 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article or obituary

edit

The move seems like a stalemate because of opposition because people believe her death gives her notability. Should this "article" be moved to Ladies' Code? Jaewon [Talk] 15:39, 17 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

The above consensus was to merge the articles, there's no reason why at this point it should be a question, moreso since nothing still has changed to make her article not an obituary-type one. At least with Rise's article someone managed to get a good enough amount of info to at least make an article for her logical (albeit it could probably be fixed up a little). ハローリンク-Hello Link- 17:41, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. I'll redirect it to Ladies' Code. Jaewon [Talk] 23:27, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
