Alphabet entry

edit

The discussion of vowels, semivowels, and consonants under “alphabet” is likely to lead to confusion. “Vowel” and “consonant” can be ambiguous terms because they can refer either to written letters or phonemes. The alphabet section should of course be about written letters, but the vowel, semivowel, and consonant section in there is instead talking about phonemes.
