Coming to where? edit

What does this mean?

The number of engineers coming from outside the United States has risen significantly ...

Does it mean, qualifying as engineers, worldwide except in the US? Or immigrating to the US? Or something else? I have no idea. Maproom (talk) 23:14, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Define global engineering, or merge as a section in a global engineering page edit

There is an engineering Wikipedia page, and there is an engineering education Wikipedia page, and there is a global engineering education page; however, there is no global engineering page. At a minimum, the global engineering education page should have a definition of global engineering. (The definition is "the application of currently accepted scientific principles to the design of projects that cannot be implemented until the emergence of a global state.") (This was previously cited on this page but deleted.) At best, a new page for global engineering should be created, one that includes pedagogy, theory, practice, et cetera...but starting with a definition. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.147.13.185 (talk) 03:49, 29 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merge into engineering education research edit

Global engineering education is hardly its own field of inquiry, and the content of this article could easily be included in a section of engineering education research. I'm going to wait a few days to see if discussion pops up: if it doesn't, I'll just do the merger myself. - - mathmitch7 (talk/contribs) 00:29, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
