First Course Constructed West of the Mississippi River edit

I'm not sure that is true. There were a couple of courses constructed west of the Mississippi prior to 1901 when Glen Echo was completed. Kenwood Golf Links in Kansas City opened in 1896, Kansas City Country Club opened in 1896, Bellerive Country Club opened in 1897, the Log Cabin Club opened in 1899. So it sounds like there is some confusion with this particular statement. The article quoted comes from Jim Healey, but I don't think that matches what was published in his book about the subject. 4.35.249.74 (talk) 21:22, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
