"about 2 m. S.E. from Göttingen." This is wrong. I assume "m." is for miles (which itself is a bit strange with-out km in a German context). The hills are maybe 5-10 km or more from Goettingen, depending on whether we are talking center to center or edge to edge - and as the crow flies ore by road.
