If independent notability cannot be established, my I suggest a merge to Harmonica? Fiddle Faddle 10:56, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Does Stengal have a page? This would seem to fit there better, as one of his glass instruments. Or is there a page of glass musical instruments? It's more a piece of art in itself than an object for making music, although it does that, too. Deleting is ... no, we should be celebrating such things, not forgetting them. htom (talk) 16:45, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
@OtterSmith: Wikipedia does not exist to celebrate any particular achievements, I'm afraid. It only accepts items which are notable and verifiably so. The instruments are indeed beautiful, but that is insufficient reason to include them. What I hope is that they are either shown to be notable, or are merged into Harmonica. Mr Stengel, if he deserves a page, may have one with pleasure. If he is notable perhaps you might like to set to with a will and create it? Fiddle Faddle 17:01, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I know it's not. I don't have the time (and won't for several months, I'm having to deal with a family death, care problems, sorting stuff, selling a home, ...) but hope that someone eventually does. It would seem easier to find notability about him, then have a page about him, and put his creations into it. htom (talk) 17:31, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am struggling to find anything about Stengel that satisfies our notability criteria at present, and his business Eugene Glass Menagerie suffers from the same problem. I'm at the end of my resources. You have none for quite a while. I'm not about to argue for deletion on this one, but will not oppose it either. I hope a decent source can be found and the rather lovely instrument's information is preserved here. Right now I have my doubts. As far as I can see the only way for it to remain is within Harmonica, at least for the present. IT appears to be Stengel's only instrument. His glass is artistic, but not of any encyclopaedic note so far. Fiddle Faddle 17:39, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
