What does the word "discarded" mean or refer to in this sentence: "Some of the mountain massifs experiencing the highest uplift rates are those for which glacial buzzsaw effects are discarded." This needs clarification. Does it mean buzzsaw effects don't happen in these areas? Or that the researchers who argue for buzzsaw effects don't take these areas into consideration during their theorizing? -- Dough34 (talk) 22:45, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
