Please bear in mind that this is not a news article about the landslide, it is an article about the municipality - see WP:NOTNEWS. Information about the landslide should be kept to just basic facts, within the context of the whole history of the area. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 10:24, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

How to pronounce? edit

Perhaps someone can link to a Youtube clip, where Gjerdrum is mentioned. Thereafter put the link in the External Links section.

The name is pronounced like
"Y_RR" (a British word?), and
"dr_mm"

The vowel in the last syllable is not pronounced quite as a German "u", but rather a Norwegian "u".

(In the Midwest (America), I have heard children say "U-u-u", about food or things they don't like. It is not completely unlike "ew", ... )

(Please do not hold it against me, that perhaps I am a doctor of Linguist-ism at Land-of-Midnight-Sun University.) Regards! 89.8.71.4 (talk) 10:39, 3 January 2021 (UTC)/ 89.8.71.4 (talk) 10:45, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
The vovel in the first syllable: as the U.S. pronunciation of the first syllable in LAVatory. 89.8.71.4 (talk) 10:49, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
