Giulio Romano (painter) → Giulio Romano – Starting RM, as this page is currently malplaced. Unclear if this article is the primary topic or not for the name "Giulio Romano". Natg 19 (talk) 06:08, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
4meter4 moved this page to its current title, and created a dab page at Giulio Romano, but Викидим redirected Giulio Romano back to here and moved the dab page to Giulio Romano (disambiguation). Need this RM to clarify the proper titles. 06:10, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support the move (back). IMHO there is one truly famous Giulio Romano (the architect and painter) who is the "primary" and two ones of little consequence: one is a truly unknown composer, one a little-used pseudonym of another composer, Giulio Caccini (while this one is relatively well-known, the pseudonym is not widely used precisely due to confusion, when used, the Caccini name is typically also mentioned. This situation is well-reflected in the internal links to Giulio Romano (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs): almost all of them apparently are for the architect/painter. The move by 4meter4 broke almost all of these links. Викидим (talk) 06:37, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support. Caccini is a fairly major composer of equivalent importance in music in my opinion, with two separate entries by different authors in the The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians which is unusual. However, given that he is more often called Caccini makes it less of a priority for naming purposes at Giulio Romano. Do I think some people searching for Giulio Romano will be looking for either Caccini or the other composer, yes, but a hat note notifying to a dab page is a fine solution.4meter4 (talk) 17:31, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
