Focolare edit

Biographies of Becciu often mention in passing that he belongs to or is associated with the Focolare Movement. This would be worth adding if we knew a little more. Associated how? since when? Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 22:26, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Birthplace? edit

In the text it says Becciu was born in Pattada, but the infobox says he was born in Padua. The two cities are almost on the opposite side of Italy from one another, so this obviously cannot be correct, so which city is his birthplace? Inter&anthro (talk) 13:38, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Both say Pattada, which is correct. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 14:47, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Rehabilitation/Reinstatement edit

Just wanted to note that the "rumors" started by the Cardinal himself suggest an upcoming rehabilitation/reinstatement. Please note that the trial in on-going and there has been no word (yet) from officials in Rome. Dcheney (talk) 22:53, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

End of Trial / Sentence edit

So today we have the conclusion of the trial and the announcement of sentences. "Cardinal Angelo Becciu is sentenced by the Vatican court to five years and six months imprisonment, perpetual disqualification from public office, and an eight thousand euro fine. " (Vatican News). I would note that the term "felon" or "felony" does not appear in Canon Law. Dcheney (talk) 23:14, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
