NAME edit

In the title the guy's name is spelled Giò but in the text Gio, which seems to be the normal spelling of his name (see the Italian version of this page). The Milan Triennale also spells it Gio on its site. I know it's a bit pedantic, but we might as well get it right. (talk) 08:08, 10 March 2011 (UTC)CampolongoReply

Well, his given name was Giovanni, shortened to Giò in Italy. The Italian entry says right at the beginning: "Giovanni Ponti, detto Giò", i.e. "Giovanni Ponti, called Giò". In international exhibitions and catalogues, in the italian Wikipedia, he was named without the apostrophe. So let’s note it, but leave it. Fritz Jörn (talk) 19:27, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Giò PontiGio Ponti – "Gio" has to be without the accent - see http://www.gioponti.com and http://design.designmuseum.org/design/gio-ponti Marcok (talk) 11:48, 31 October 2016 (UTC) --Marcok (talk) 11:48, 31 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Pictures of him and of his most famous product edit

The chair "Superleggera", designed by Ponti in 1955 for Cassina

I’d suggest to show a more favourable picture of the man, the one from the italian wikipedia https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/it/9/9f/Gio_Ponti.jpg . I wouldn’t know how to get that picture over the ocean, I tried to show it here, couldn’t. So please someone could do it. Also his most famous design product should be shown. This one I could link in. – Fritz Jörn (talk) 20:03, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
