Giancarlo Baghetti is correctly recorded as being one of only three F1 drivers to win their debut race but this slightly misleads the reader and diminishes the greatness of his achievement as both the other drivers won races in which every competitor was driving in the first Grand Prix, i.e. the 1950 British Grand Prix being the first ever Championship race and the 1950 Indy 500, which involved a field of American drivers, none of whom had taken any part in the earlier rounds of that season. I propose a rewording to the following.

Baghetti holds the distinction of being the only driver ever to win their debut Grand Prix against a field that did not consist entirely of debutant drivers.

Ferrari model(s) used in 1961 edit

There's a confusion about phrasing in the article – the passage that concerns Ferrari cars used by Baghetti in 1961, both privately with FISA and then with Ferrari works team. I've asked for clarification in WT:WikiProject_Formula_One#Baghetti.27s_Ferrari_in_1961. Please comment there and when/if a conclusion is reached, please summarize here. cherkash (talk) 08:24, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

It was s/n 0008 Ferrari 156 'P' F2 with Dino V6, later converted to F1 spec for 1961. YBSOne (talk) 14:43, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
