Hello Bettina. I can find no source which gives his birth place as Livorno. According to his Library of Congress Authority file, The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians lists "Venice (?)". The article was also very poorly referenced. I've added 2 reliable sources and removed Livorno from the article. Voceditenore (talk) 12:35, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Bettina. There was a lot of subsequent to-ing and fro-ing in the article with Livorno re-added in 2017. I have now removed Livorno and clarified information about his putative birth place referenced to Dizionario Biografico degli Italiani, Grove, and The Palgrave Dictionary of Anglo-Jewish History with links to the articles. The Italian WP article is referenced solely to this 1931 entry in the Enciclopedia Italiana which does not state his birthplace at all. Voceditenore (talk) 16:21, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
