Quote of Lorenzo Roata (journalist of Raisport) reinserted

edit

They have put him to scorn [...]. Technicians staged many practical jokes to make him angry [...]. This video, as put together, seems to show a man who curses his life away.

— Lorenzo Roata (Translated from Italian), journalist of Raisport

Germano Mosconi is known all over Italy because an anonymous video in which he use many swearwords, but many people also knew him when he worked as anchor at Telenuovo TV. A lot of people may thing that he spent his life to insulting, so in the Italian Wikipedia we have longer discuss how to make a good article that can not degenerate. Quoting a colleague of Germano was our final decision, because people that know him for the video immediately understand that the article is not a list of swearwords and insults of Germano. --Gildos 18:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

As you can easily see by looking yourself around, en.wiki articles, differently than it.wiki, usually do not begin with quotations. In this particular case, this is imposed by the Manual of Style for Biographies. If you really feel that quote would be useful, you are suggested to integrate its content inside the article. By the way the article is pretty short (a stub, actually), it would be a good idea to expand it. Thanks. --Angelo 13:57, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maybe the author is somewhat related to the topic but the article was written from translated it.wiki info. That page had really bad times with edit wars, deleting polls and so on, so it's a page strongly revisioned and (hypotetically) no biased. I think that someone could remove the template as, in this case, the linkage seems not to affect the page's trustworthy.79.8.44.223 (talk) 10:52, 3 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please delete it, in Italy no one knows who Mosconi was, only a web phoenomenon for swearing at colleagues.Ridicolous — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.45.145.158 (talk) 21:07, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

That isn't true: I am Italian and I think almost all young people who live in Italy know who Mosconi was. In 2013 a web phenomenon is an important element of our life. Excuse me for my English, please consider the content, not the form. Udine2812 (talk) 13:01, 29 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
