American Nationality? edit

Although Geraldine Chaplin was born in America, does she hold an American passport? Her father was British and retained that nationality all his life. Wouldn't that affect her nationality, especially as she went to live in Switzerland from the age of 8? Anyone born in the U.S. is automatically a U.S. citizen, regardless of parents' status - a point of some controversy today. That makes Chaplin eligible for a U.S. passport; whether she has one or not is a different matter.Sensei48 (talk) 21:36, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm. It says she decided to follow her father's profession and became an actor. I know all this gender neutral stuff is current, but "actor" seems a bit strained. Most other women in Hollywood are "actresses." Sabinelr (talk) 06:10, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, there ya go; she doesn't live in Hollywood, doesn't work in Hollywood as often as in other countries. She lives in Europe. 69.42.41.210 (talk) 06:38, 17 June 2013 (UTC)History LunaticReply

Hi, If this woman was born of Charlie Chaplin's first marriage and is his oldest child, she would have been born prior to 1925? The entry states that she was born in 1944 and is only 64 years old. That cannot be correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.187.221.39 (talk) 14:01, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

She was the eldest child from his fourth marriage, not his first. Valetude (talk) 23:57, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Husband? edit

The article seems to refer to Carlos Saura as her 'husband'. However, the article on Saura and the fact box in this article contradict that. Which is it? --Sukkoth 11:35, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

It says Partner now. Jay (talk) 20:21, 29 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Photo? edit

Is it really necessary to have the least flattering photo ever taken of her as the main image? Perhaps move up the one later down? —FlashSheridan (talk) 12:04, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Dr. Zhivago photo is already used in a relevant section, so I would not prefer to use it as the main image. I don't see better candidates on commons:Category:Geraldine Chaplin as well. Jay (Talk) 15:24, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
