Cool Website edit

Can you please add this website to your site? If you don't think it's that good, don't worry. Just tell me and I'll fix it. I'll make it much better. http://www.freewebs.com/lucyforever/ Thanks!

  • Sorry, wikipedia has a very restrictive policy on external links, see WP:EL. Kappa 12:33, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's a neat fan site, just not really the sort of thing we link to. We like to use more authoritative stuff like IMDb. KrazyCaley 07:08, 27 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Are you trying to say that I can't link my website? If I can't, how am I ever going to get people to my website?

Ok, here link this one. www.freewebs.com/hermininemagicbook

Wikipedia is not an advertising service. So, your asking how you're going to get people to go to your website cannot be solved on Wikipedia. Sorry. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 20:55, 23 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wrote Two Books? edit

I'm not finding very good information on that trivia on Georgie Henley's two books she supposedly wrote. Colonel Marksman 04:41, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I found this link, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1670137/bio Jesussaves 20:04, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The best source is the probably Perry Moore's maiking of book ISBN 0060827874 which has photographs and breif summaries of both books. Should it be added as a source? Eluchil404 19:14, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Done. Eluchil404 06:37, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Goes to two schools? edit

Does Georgie attend both Moorfield School and Bradford Grammar School? Could someone please clear up the confusion?--84.68.231.88 00:49, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

She definitely goes to BGS and spends most of the year and day there so i can't possibly imagine her going to another school as well. the only time she's missing for a long period of time is when she goes to filming or premiers. --I.W Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 19:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Occupation edit

Should author really be listed as an occupation? It seems to be more wiktionary:avocational to me since none of her work has been published. Eluchil404 12:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

First Name? edit

Her proper first name is listed as both "Georgina" and "Georgia." It's reasonable to assume that "Georgie" is short for something, but does anyone have a source for exactly what it's short for? A Google search turns up only this article for "Georgina Henley" while many bios turn up for "Georgia Henley." Based on this, I'm replacing "Georgina" with "Georgia" and I think it should stay that way unless someone can provide a source stating that her birth name was "Georgina." --Lord Galen 09:19, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

    • According to Ancestry.co.uk, her name is Georgina Helen Henley, her sisters are Laura Katherine, and Rachael Ruth Henley. Personally I'd go with that, especially as theres a marriage with a Helen of the right surname and a Mike Henley to back it up!Jcuk (talk) 22:08, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • That's not a reliable source, since the data is user provided. Georgia Laura is supported by IMDb so there is no reason to change. I would really like to see a more reliable source than these though. Her top fansites both call her Georgia Laura, but her agent just lists her a Georgie.[1] Eluchil404 (talk) 04:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
        • Excuse me, the data is NOT user provided, the data is provided in the case of births, deaths and marriages from the original registers. In this case, Register number: A48C, District and Subdistrict: 0821A, Entry Number: 007. Her name IS Georgina Helen Henley, but hey, if you dont want to accept her own birth certificate as being a reliable source, thats your business I suppose. As for IMDb.......Jcuk 01:26, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • I know her mother's name is Helen because in the The Lion, The Witch, and The wardrobe, Lucy states that her mother's name is Helen, and in the commentary for the movie, Henley says that that is cool, because her real mother's name is Helen. Pumanike (talk) 16:29, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
      • Her name is Georgia Laura Henley. If you google it, 75% of the answers tell you that her name is, in fact, Georgia Laura Henley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parawhore123 (talkcontribs) 10:18, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
      • Most of what you find when you Google take their info from Wikipedia. The Birth register is the only VERIFIED citation and it states her name as Georgina Helen Henley. No Georgia Laura Henley was born in that year, never mind in the month. Quentin X (talk) 10:27, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
      • IMDB: Full Name: Georgia Laura Henley, AslansCountry.com (NARNIA SITE): Georgia Laura Henley, HenleyGeorgie (Fan Tumblr): Georgia Laura Henley, Simply Georgie: Georgia Laura Henley. As you can see, all of these sites, and more, say her name is Georgia Laura. Parawhore123 is right.
      • Most people wouldn't trust IMDB if their life depended on it. All the other are fan sites who have probably taken their info from......IMDB. As said, the only female Henley born in that part of England at that time was Georgina Helen Henley and NO Georgia Laura Henley was born in England in 1995. Quentin X (talk) 11:41, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
      • I really seriously am sorry if I'm sounding mean or offensive here, but you don't really know where these people have got their info from, even though IMDB is the most popular choice. The owners of these sites could know Georgie personally for all we know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolerthanyou123 (talkcontribs) 12:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
      • No need to apologise. The fact remains that the only official site for births in England shows that no Georgia Henley was born in the UK in 1995.In fact, only two Georgia Henley's have been born in the UK at all, one in 1992 in York and one in Middlesex in 1996. And neither of these has the middle name Laura. This would suggest that wherever these sites are getting their info, it is wrong. Quentin X (talk) 12:09, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
      • --Juzuma (talk) 07:28, 3 April 2011 (UTC):OK, maybe give link to Ancestry.com in article, because I can't find her even under name "georgina".Reply

Religion? edit

I have heard Anna Popplewell is a Christian, and Skandar Keynes is an Athiest, but does anyone know what Georgie Henley is? Is She a Christian? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.12.149.195 (talk) 13:00, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

WikiAnswers.com I think says she is, but only that's the only site I've seen about it and also the answer was by a unregistered user, so it's not reliable. I wouldn't put it in yet. But at least we know someone has said she is a Christian. The person said, "Yes, Anna Popplewell and Georgie Henley are both Christians!" which means that the guy or gal knows that Anna is Christian so that may make it more possible that he/she is right... to sum it all up I think there's a really good chance but it's not a good enough chance to put it in the page here. It could be wrong, but I think it is right... 85% chance it's right and 15% chance it is wrong. :D

--Gar-Art Studios (talk) 00:03, 27 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

P.S. William Moseley is said to be a Christian as well.

Oh, also, there are rumors Georgie has drank alcohol because there are pictures of it. But, here are some things that have to be known true for it to be true itself:

  • You've gotta make sure it's the real person and not someone that looks like her/him.
  • In this case, is it really alcohol or is it something else that isn't alcohol?

Also, those people should just leave her alone about that and mind their own business. Poor celebrities. All their privacy was blown out the door the moment they became famous. :-(

I'm saying this because that might (not necessarily, some Christians don't act like their Christians and pretty much 'turn away from God') mean that she isn't Christian.

--Gar-Art Studios (talk) 22:49, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • As I understand it, Christians are not opposed to drinking alcohol; it is, after all, part of the Holy Communion. The only restriction that springs to mind is that red wine should be drunk with eyes closed (Proverbs 23:31, KJV: "Look not upon the wine when it is red"). Seriously, though, Henley is legally allowed to drink alcoholic beverages (a) at home (b) in a restaurant or other licensed premises, as long as it does not contain a bar for service of drinks. If the christians want to make a point of that, let them first remove the mote from their own eyes. Nothing wrong with it. Rodhullandemu 23:05, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree. --Gar-Art Studios (talk) 17:27, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Picture? edit

The current picture is rather outdated. As of now she looks significantly different, so the picture should be changed. Don't you agree? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.106.4.43 (talk) 09:05, 5 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

This post was made two years ago. It is definitely time for the photo to be updated. There are plenty of photos of Georgie from her recent Perfect Sisters premiere. Wouldn't one of those be suitable? Lisamccrissican (talk) 15:09, 19 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Absolutely!
I have no idea why @Iggy the Swan reverted the up-to-date picture that @Jshadow93 put in there. If no-one has any objections, I shall revert the revert. Nikolaj1905 (talk) 13:55, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've searched the photo, while using Google Lens, that it came from an article which contains that picture[2] which, based on my understanding, would be a photo taken elsewhere from the web. You may also want to participate in this discussion as well though someone else has already made their point. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:55, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the clarification! If the image is copyrighted (which I must agree with you that it seems to be), then it would need to meet the non-free content criteria, and it probably cannot be argued that "its omission would be detrimental to [the] understanding" of the article.
The search continues for a non-copyrighted picture! Nikolaj1905 (talk) 10:29, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

4th Narnia movie edit

There is no 4th Narnia movie yet, and until it begins principal photography, should not be added to filmographies at all. Elizium23 (talk) 02:58, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Assessment comment edit

I copied the B class rating from the Wikiproject Narnia template to the Wikiproject biography template. The article covers the subject well and from a NPOV. It has some sources but could be improved in that area. It is generally WP:MOS compliant, but the trivia section should probably be merged into the article body. There are no major ongoing edit disputes. Eluchil404 12:42, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
