Who on earth proposed to merge The Liberties into Georgian Dublin??? They are totally difficult parts of the city in totally different locations. It would about as pointless and factually wrong as to merge articles on Cork and Kerry, England and Wales, or Canada and the United States. Georgian Dublin concerns the 18th and 19th century city that developed around 5 squares: Ruthland, Mountjoy, Merrion and Fitzwilliam Squares, with St Stephen's Green. The Liberties is a mediaeval part of the city miles away that has nothing to do with Georgian Dublin. FearÉIREANN \(caint) 22:07, 23 June 2006 (UTC) Reply

Conversational Tone

I assume this was mostly written by one person? It's full of interesting factoids, and is well written, but the tone is far too conversational throughout. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.54.228 (talk) 14:25, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Little Museum of Dublin

edit

Hi all, Here is my addition I would like to make, what do you think?:

In the 18th century, the iconic areas with Georgian houses were located in Merrion Square, St. Stephen's Green and Fitzwilliam Square. The Little Museum of Dublin, established in 2011, sits across from St. Stephen's Green and is housed in a sublime Georgian house, in which you can join a tour and revel in the beautifully protected architecture[1].

Thank you in advance — Preceding unsigned comment added by Léa Di Francesco (talkcontribs) 11:21, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Not done. I have not made (and will not make) the proposed change on behalf of the connected editor. This edit request follows a sustained pattern (involving connected editors) seeking to pepper Wikipedia with mentions of this subject. In many cases were it is a significant reach (like mentioning the museum in Dublin in an article about Queen Victoria and what have you). And, in each case, solely and transparently with the goal of advancing the interests of the subject (the museum). And with little to no consideration to the interests of this project (or its readers, goals or community). The request is based on WP:NOTHERE goals. And the proposed text is OVERTLY promotional. Excessively so. WP:NOTPROMO. Guliolopez (talk) 14:59, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
