Adding context to confederate service

@User:BilCat For English language readers of this page it it important to identify that during the period of the American civil war that the Georgia State Defense Force served on the side of the Confederacy against the US Army as enemies of the United States. specifically in the history section: ..."with the outbreak of the American Civil War, Georgia responded with over 100 volunteer regiments, battalions, and batteries." This page is unclear as to the history of the Georgia State Defense Force and their role in the American Civil War. Future edits should continue to clarify that service in the confederacy is as an enemy of the United States. Ohthatkyle (talk) 15:36, 16 June 2023 (UTC)

As discussed on your talk page, that is not the manner in which Civil War hostilities have been described in verifiable sources. Please stop more widespread changes until you gain consensus otherwise. Buffs (talk) 18:05, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
