Confusion reigns between this chap and George Wentworth (of Woolley). Both articles claim him for MP for Ponte at the same time. Looking into it. Any help appreciated. Are both articles about the same person? Jodosma (talk) 19:41, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

The references to Ruish, and the land in Sarre going to a daughter, connected with Lord Howard of Effingham also puzzles me; The 'PROB 11' will of a guy called Thomas Wentworth of Cleve Court on the Isle of Thanet, ( PROB 11/325/296 ) mentions Cleve Court and also Sarre alias Sarre Court, being given to his executors, (namely: kinsman Sir Wm. Wentworth, of St Martins, Mx, knight & Francis Colley, of London, gent), in order to pay the debts of the Testator's father, Sir George Wentworth, deceased. Will dated and proved 1667. The testator has a brother William. However, there is a portion of text at the side of the will, which is illegible in my A3 print, obtained from the Nat. Arch. The Ruish reference, in the Wiki article, comes from Hasted's history, which is not (as) contemporary. Ruish is not mentioned in the main text of the will RH Simons (talk) 09:07, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
