Talk:George W. Bush Cabinet

Controversial edit

The lede states Bush created a "diverse and controversial cabinet." However the article's only note of controversy is the appointment of John Bolton to the UN, which is not a cabinet position. Bush's appointments have often been controversial, and the controversies that were directly linked to cabinet appointments should be noted in the article if the lede is going to make that claim while controversies which have nothing to do with cabinet appointment should not be included.Shsilver 20:31, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I agree totally. At the very least, there should be a cite for use of the word "controversial" (though, I'd like to note, there should also be a cite for "diverse", as while the appointments come from both sexes and multiple races, everyone's political leanings are quite similar). Really, this article just needs a lot of expansion. -- Kicking222 21:32, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

I'm pretty sure this should be "George W. Bush cabinet", not "Cabinet". I could just move the page but I'd like to get some other thoughts. Timneu22 (talk) 11:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Moved on Nov 9; not waiting for a consensus here because it is correct. WP:NAME#Lowercase. Timneu22 (talk) 23:15, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
A page is moved unless the title is almost always capitalized in English. See United_States_Cabinet, [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. But see contrasting examples [6], [7], [8]. By the way, apart from whether the page should be moved, this move was executed incorrectly. See Help:Moving_a_page#Moving_over_an_existing_page and ask an administrator next time.--chaser - t 03:20, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
