Spurious Beecham anecdote

I suggest the Beecham anecdote should be removed as it appears to be spurious. The anecdote is related in another form in relation to a trombone player in "Beecham Stories" compiled by Harold Atkins and Archie Newman 1978, ISBN 0 7088 1634 7 p.91. Quote:

A trombone player made his debut one morning.
"You are new, aren't you?" said Beecham. "What is your name?"
"Ball, sir".
"How very singular," observed Sir Thomas.

Thalben Ball is not mentioned anywhere in Charles Reid's biography of Beecham, nor in John Lucas's standard biography. Hikitsurisan (talk) 22:07, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Removed. As I said in my edit summary, whatever it may say about Beecham, it says absolutely nothing about Thalben-Ball, and this is, after all, an article about Thalben-Ball, not Beecham or anyone else. -- Jack of Oz ^{[your turn]} 22:19, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
