Controversy: Verifiability? edit

Several statements about Brown have been moved to the Controversy section by me and flagged with a "references needed" tag. These statements are unsourced and unreferenced. Per WP:V they should be removed after a period of time to allow others editors to find references which meet Wiki standards.

The statements may well be true and I have read more or less the same on a web site which has no references and said that the information was from contemporary news sources. But with no verifiable sources, the information in the "Controversy" section will have to go.--TGC55 (talk) 00:24, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is some indirect support for one of the critical statements here NY Times obit Joseph Churba, 28 April 1996, The NY Times obit on Gen. Brown is available for a fee of USD 3.95. I will still search for a free reliable source. --TGC55 (talk) 01:54, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Smoking gun found for "Jewish Lobby" comment here: Time Magazine "FOREIGN POLICY: Brown's Bomb" 25 November 1974. The Time Magazine article has even more contraversal staments than what I was looking for. Will rework section in question.--TGC55 (talk) 02:26, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I fixed some of them but there are still major issues (many with tense). 96.250.80.27 (talk) 05:15, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
