The page cites the 1939 Register as source for date of birth, but none of the George R Scotts found on that register born in 1886 could be the person who is the subject of the page. There IS a citable source: [1], which gives his year of birth as 1886 and address (for correspondence?) as Mayfield House, Mirfield, Yorkshire. The stated approximate date of death has no cited source, so should this should be given as unknown? I'm happy to make edits, but only if these would be fully in accord with Wikipedia guidelines.
