Shouldn't it be mentioned somewhere that he is the most likely person to have coined the phrase "coin the phrase"? Wasakithis 06:08, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

My additions edit

I have begun to update this page in the hopes of accomplishing three goals: 1) to more successfully screen the disagreements and uncertainty over the authorship of The Arte of English Poesie, 2) to more accurately reflect the historical context in which the surviving documents that mention Puttenham's tendencies and character appear, 3) to expand coverage of Puttenham's significance both as a writer and a historical figure in sixteenth century England. By all means, please review and correct any errors in my presentation that you may find. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arcumbran (talkcontribs) 16:02, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you want a citation about an alternative authorship hypothesis, I've published two articles suggesting Edward de Vere wrote this anonymous work: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9YH_poTOlrbcFdoTEdWMXNMSGs/edit and https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9YH_poTOlrbR2pEWGotN2FGVlU/edit 69.255.214.200 (talk) 16:41, 26 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
